April Fools’ 2016
I’ve always loved doing April Fools’ jokes because it’s a time to let loose and not take yourself so seriously. I did a couple while I was at Google.
So given that I am currently working on Chikai 🤖, I had to do one just for the fun of it! Here is the April Fools’ joke for Chikai 🤖 that I did today.

Twitter wins a bidding war to acquire Chikai 🤖
After a long drawn out bidding war, Twitter has acquired the mysterious and little known project called Chikai 🤖 . The entire transaction was handled through a bot, who negotiated the terms with surprising acumen, proving that the AI behind it was way beyond current technologies and must have come from the future. Jack Dorsey consulted with Arnold Schwarzenegger to help him analyze whether it was a Cyberdyne Systems series T-800 Model 101, but it was beyond his abilities and thought it may be alien technology and not of this planet.
No details were released on how much Twitter paid for the company, but it is suspected that Dr. Evil helped broker the deal and asked for “ONE MILLION DOLLARS”. There are rumors that the bot got a better deal and a swank new datacenter space, while all humans were either fired or relegated to the mail room.
This is an ongoing story and more will be reported as we get more details.
