I don’t use FB Messenger enough to have run into this new feature in situ, but when I read the article about DeepText last week, this “auto-suggest” feature also caught my eye.

I think the first wave of bots over-reached and tried to achieve something that is a bit further than what current technology can deliver. The first set of truly useful bots will seem so simplistic that they are not even recognized as bots by the casual observer, but over time I imagine they will become more capable as people start to use them and give the AI systems more data to work with.
